Hiking Rhein-Mosel

July 2022 – For three days, and with best friends Ida and Carsten, I hiked four selected trails among rivers, wine yards, castles, cozy towns and beautiful forests, in the Rhein-Mosel area of Germany.

  • Premiumwanderweg: Bleidenberger Ausblicke (15,2 km. roundtrip, 571 meters up and down).
  • Cochem – Seits-Kapelle – Pinnerkreuz (9,4 km. roundtrip, 342 meters up and down).
  • Den Eltzach hinauf zur Burg Eltz (5,7 km. total in and out, 120 meters up and down).
  • Waldesch, Stolzenfels, und Rhens Rundweg (21,6 km. roundtrip, 464 meters up and down).

We flew for a little more than three hours from Roskilde Airport (EKRK) to Koblenz Winningen Airport (EDRK) and stayed in a small Hotel in Kattenes along Mosel River. A rental car got us around the area.

All the trails (and many more) can easily be found in the AllTrails app.
