July 2022 – On a stunning beautiful summer day in Iceland, I finally hiked over Fimmvörðuháls, the ice-free area between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull, from Þórsmörk to Skógafoss. 24 km, 1200 meters up, 1400 meters down, 7 hours including breaks.
This trail is one of the most epic trails in Iceland and is part of the longer 5 day hike from Landmannalaugar to Skógafoss.
