Flying the Westfjords of Iceland

October 2021 – My friends Elena and Lennart Wahl visited Iceland for a week, and I visited them for three days during the trip. Weather was just perfect and the old original 1952 Cessna 170 TF-KAF was available.

We flew Reykjavik (BIMS) – Holmavik (BIHK) – Gjogur (BIGJ) – Ísafjörður (BIIS) – Reykjavik (BIMS). With detours around Okjökull, Eiríksjökull, Drangajökull, Stykkishólmur, Kirkjufell, Snæfellsjökull and Eldborg.
