October 2022 – I was five days in Sölden, Tyrol, Austria, with my youngest son Troels. He went skiing all the days with Hareskov Ski Club while I spent three days hiking local summits, one day relaxing at the ski area (drinking coffee) and one day on snowboard.
First climb – My first climb went to Söldenkogel and Hoher Söldenkogel, the trail started right outside our hotel in Sölden. This climb was my sixth 1,000 meter climb of the year, 1,600 meters up and down over 20 kilometers.

Second climb – Yet another top, yet another day with clear blue sky, this was my seventh 1,000 meter hike of the year. I summited the 3,163 meter high Nederkogel, the hike was 1,450 meters up and down over just 11 kilometers.

Third climb – Last climb of the trip went around Hochstubaihütte, the third highest hut in Austria at 3,174 meters. My plan was to drive to the trailhead from where the hike would be just 1,200 meters up and down over 11 kilometers. But the road to the trailhead was closed 4 kilometers away, so my hike ended up being 1,800 meters up and down over 21 kilometers. Yet another day with perfect weather, no wind and only few clouds.
